Series

Series consists of smaller subjects.
They are not in direct contact with Chapters or Story, but are series that do stand on their own and thus depict where my interest has been drawn to.

A thoughtless walk in the forest shows that everything is one and interrelated.
Nature is where light and dark are one.

Een gedachteloze wandeling in het bos laat zien dat alles één is en met elkaar in verband staat.
Natuur is waar licht en donker één geheel zijn.

Contructionsites make for a lot of inspiration because of all the
many lines and surfaces that intersect. My preference therefore goes to the periods when it has rained following the sun breaking through. For example, you have different structures of dry and wet surfaces and together with the reflections of smooth or the matte of rough surfaces just make the not everyday pictures.

Bouwlocaties zorgen voor veel inspiratie vanwege de velen lijnen en vlakken die elkaar kruizen. Mijn voorkeur gaat dan ook naar de tijdvakken wanneer het heeft geregend waarna de zon doorbreekt. Zo heb je verschillende structuren van droge en natte oppervlakken en samen met de reflecties van gladde of juist het matte van ruwe oppervlaktes die voor net niet alledaagse plaatjes zorgen.

After a short shower of falling snowflakes a fog bank arose in the area of Strijp-S, Eindhoven.

Na een korte bui van vallende sneeuwvlokjes verscheen er een deken van mist in de omgeving van Strijp-S, Eindhoven.

If there is anything that will never be the same, it will be the air with her clouds. the sunbeams pierce through the clouds and create the mood for the whole area.
Clouds may appear to go slow yet they will never form the same image.

Als er iets is in deze wereld dat nooit het zelfde is, dan het is de lucht wel. De zonnestralen doorbreken de wolken en zetten de toon voor de gehele omgeving.
Wolken kunnen nog traag voorbij lijken te drijven toch zullen ze nooit het zelfde beeld vormen.

Enlightenment is about finding rest and peace and being able to breathe again after a dark time. Images which seem to show no movement at all, but yet show something happening, however how slow, are the main lead in this series.

Verlichting draait om de reis naar het zoeken van rust en het weer kunnen ademhalen na een donkere tijd. Beelden welke bijna stilstaan, maar waar toch iets gebeurd, hoe traag ook, zijn de rode draad in deze serie.

In making this portrait I was inspired, in particular, by the shape of the building itself. I looked at how its shape could create new shapes.

Bij het maken van dit portret heb ik me laten inspireren door met name de vorm van het gebouw zelf. Ik heb gekeken hoe de vorm ervan nieuwe vormen kon creëren.
